Werder Bremen vs Stuttgart predictions for this Saturday’s Bundesliga action. Can Werder Bremen make it back-to-back wins at the Weserstadion when hosting the travel sick Stuttgart this weekend? Werder Bremen have played one, won one at the Weserstadion under new coach Florian Kohfeldt. The North German’s have been given plenty of praise in the turnaround of their performances under the 35-year-old’s guidance, despite defeats on the road to Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig. Werder will be boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic for the visit of Stuttgart, with the Austrian’s return meaning a switch back to 4-3-3 is likely – the same formation used in the 4-0 thrashing of North German neighbours Hannover 96.

Stuttgart have taken some time to adjust back to life in the top flight, but the Swabians are building momentum and the 1-1 draw on the road to fellow promotees Hannover is the first time that they’ve taken points in consecutive matches all season. Stuttgart’s performance at Hannover was not as impressive as in their 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the match prior, and improving form away from home must be up there on coach Hannes Wolf’s list of things to improve on.

From a betting perspective, some markets on offer seem a bit short when actually looking at the teams on display, but there looks to be value in another strong Bremen home win here. Bremen’s 4-0 thrashing of Hannover showed the signs of rejuvenation that coach Kohlfeldt has brought out of the team, reminiscent of the quality the same players showed they were capable of over Bremen’s 11 match unbeaten run last season (W9 D2 and 28 goals scored). Hannes Wolf’s Stuttgart, meanwhile, are not only without several first-choice forwards (see team news), but last season’s star striker Simon Terodde has only managed to score twice in 12 Bundesliga games so far.

Bremen’s own top scorer last season, Max Kruse, only returned from injury a few weeks back and already looks settled in. He was involved in all four goals (3 goals, 1 assist) against Hannover last time out at the Weserstadion – a feat only Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also achieved in 2017/18 – and we like the price on him to score anytime this weekend too.

With Stuttgart taking just one point on the road so far this season (D1 L6), conceding 2 goals or more in five of these, including against the struggling Hamburger SV (a 3-1 defeat), Werder have a decent opportunity to make some ground on the gap between themselves and safety. Bremen put in a decent shift in their defeat to Leipzig last weekend, and a return to 4-3-3 against a hindered Stuttgart offense should see them take 3 points more often than not. Our prediction: a 2-0 Werder Bremen win.

Bayern Munich vs Hannover 96 predictions for this weekend’s Bundesliga action. Can Bayern Munich bounce back from just their 2nd league defeat of the season against the struggling Hannover?

Bayern Munich’s 9 match unbeaten run (W9) under coach Jupp Heynckes came to a disappointing halt last weekend at Borussia Park. Bayern looked the worse team in the 2-1 defeat on the road to Borussia Monchengladbach, conceding more goals there (2) than over their prior 5 league outings (1). No faith has been lost in coach Heynckes though. He’s got a long, successful history and win record at Bayern Munich – in fact, he won the treble with them at the end of his last managerial spell there in 2013 (Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and Champions League) – so the Bavarians should be looking to get straight back on track at home to the out-of-form Hannover 96 this weekend.

Hannover 96 didn’t muster the best result out of their last match either. A 1-1 draw at home to Stuttgart wasn’t ideal following a 4-0 defeat at the hands of strugglers (and North German neighbours) Werder Bremen the match prior. Hannover looked the better side, but were clearly unsettled due to a number of squad rotations (see team news) and ultimately it was a goalkeeping error from Philipp Tschauner that cost them the 3 points. A match on the road to the reigning champions is bad enough at the best of times, so with talisman center-back Salif Sane likely sidelined for Saturady, there looks to be only one outcome here.

From a betting perspective, Bayern Munich’s dominance over the Bundesliga makes it difficult to find much value in such a one-sided match, but we feel backing a Bayern ‘win to nil’ makes for an interesting option. Bayern’s offensive prowess needs no introduction – Franck Ribery and Thomas Muller are expected to return and provide support for Bayern’s No.9, Robert Lewandowski, who’s 13 goals in 13 appearances in the Bundesliga so far make him one of the most in-form strikers in Europe. At the back, Bayern should be looking to return as strong as ever. Niklas Sule may be rotated out after conceding two against Gladbach last weekend, with Jerome Boateng a possibility to step in to partner Mats Hummels in the middle.

Hannover’s track record against the Bavarians in recent years is far from ideal too. Andre Breitenreiter’s men have lost all of the last 10 meetings against Bayern Munich, failing to score in 50% of these. With Hannover also missing summer-signed forward Jonathas, top scorer Martin Harnik, who’s failed to score in all of his last 7 competitive outings, is likely to be used as a lone forward once again – far from ideal for the visitors.

On the statistics side of things, Bayern Munich have scored 3 goals or more in 6 of their 8 competitive home matches this season. Hannover’s poor run of form has seen their defensive form take a bit of a tumble, so we’d expect the Bavarians to add to this average on Saturday – Hannover even conceded 4 against Werder Bremen (one of the Bundesliga’s weakest offenses) last time out on the road! Hannover’s recent attacking performances against much weaker sides have been mediocre too, so it’s just difficult to see them getting on the score sheet against the best defense (just 10 goals conceded) in the Bundesliga. Our prediction: a 4-0 Bayern Munich win.

Mainz 05 vs Augsburg predictions for this weekend’s Bundesliga action. Mainz haven’t lost to Augsburg since November 2011 (W6 D1). While there wasn’t any change to management or significant investment made since the end of last season, Augsburg look a much more rounded side in their 2017/18 campaign. Augsburg head into this off the back of a 2-1 win at home to Wolfsburg, and though they’d won just one of their seven Bundesliga outings prior (W1 D3 L3), this was arguably the toughest run of fixtures of any side over the last few months. A total of 19 points from 13 games is the Bavarian’s second-best ever tally in the Bundesliga, the only better time being in 2014/15 (21) where they qualified for the Europa League.

Mainz on the other hand have just 15 points, their second-lowest return since promotion in 2009, and head into this off the back of a 2-1 defeat on the road to the struggling SC Freiburg. At home is where the 05ers thrive though, unbeaten in four consecutive matches, over which they’ve taken 10 of a possible 12 points (W3 D1). Mainz coach Sandro Schwarz also has one more trick up his sleeve – the 05ers are Augsburg’s “bogey side”, having taken the maximum three points against them in six of the last seven meetings (W6 D1), their longest such run against any top flight club.

While the hosts are in marginally worse current form than Augsburg, from a betting perspective, we like the look of backing them “draw no bet” this weekend. Mainz have lost at home to only European candidates Hoffenheim since the start of September (W4 D1 L1), over which they’ve beaten off opponents as strong as Leverkusen and Hertha, alongside “winnable” fixtures at home to Hamburg and Cologne. As mentioned before, Augsburg haven’t had the easiest run, but their inconsistency on the road this season (W2 D2 L2), which includes a defeat to struggling Hamburg, cannot be ignored.

Regarding a correct score prediction, there’s not much between them in terms of recent defensive form – both teams have held just one clean sheet over their last seven league outings – so goals at both ends wouldn’t be unreasonable. Mainz have, however, been scoring much more consistently at the Opel Arena than Augsburg have on the road. Mainz are averaging almost two goals per match at home since the start of September, while the visitors are looking at just over one goal per match away from home over the same number. For us, Mainz to clinch the win seems about the best price. Our prediction: a 2-1 Mainz win.

Freiburg has only two victories this season, but they have achieved the second one in the last round, so they are hoping that this may be the beginning of a positive series. They hoped to do so after defeating Hoffenheim, but after that they only played a draw with Hertha and suffered four defeats, with the proviso that they celebrated over Dynamo in the Cup. They did not have any easy opponents, and they only defeated Schalke with 1-0 during that time, and before that they lost to Stuttgart, while they were before that defeated in Wolfsburg.

In the last round, they finally celebrated a new victory and it was again at home against Mainz, so they are at least breathing a little easier now. They have again played with three in the last line, but Kapustka jumped instead of Guede, while Terrazzino played instead of Katha and that was a bad move because after entering the game this player scored a goal and that is why we again expect him in the team.

Hamburger SV

HSV has four victories this season, but the first two took place at the very beginning of the season so there was a long dry season, while they three rounds ago came to a new triumph and in the last round they celebrated the fourth time. So in the previous period they played pretty good at least at home and they are particularly pleased that they are quite efficient. First they triumphed against Stuttgart with 3-1, and then in the last round they mastered Hoffenheim more convincingly with 3-0.

Among them, they quite expectedly lost to Schalke and now they are just above the relegation zone, and this is a very important match, where they finally want to make something as guests. They played great in the last round against the tired Hoffenheim, and their team was almost completely expected, and only Ito remained on the bench, while he was replaced by Wood quite well. Despite their good game, coach Gisdol does not want to change anything now, but G.Sakai complains about injury, and if he is not ready, Walace will probably be a defensive midfielder.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Wolfsburg predictions for this Sunday’s Bundesliga action at the BayArena. Wolfsburg boss Martin Schmidt looks to continue his unbeaten streak in charge.

Leverkusen’s start to the season has been full of ups and downs. While the hosts have taken seven points in impressive fashion over three fixtures at home to Hoffenheim (a 2-2 draw), Freiburg (a 4-0 win), and Hamburg (a 3-0 win), as was the case last season, their performances on the road have simply not been up to par. Boss Heiko Herrlich should be content enough with the point his team picked up at Schalke last time out before the international break (a 1-1 draw), but Leverkusen are still behind pace for this season’s target of European qualification.

While new-boss Martin Schmidt might not have made the most dramatic impact upon arrival at Wolfsburg, the Wolves do have a refreshed look to them in the hands of the former Mainz 05 manager. Under his guidance, Wolfsburg are unbeaten, taking an impressive point on the road to Bayern Munich, despite trailing 2-0 at half-time, and a point at home to his old club, Mainz – even with veteran striker Mario Gomez sidelined for both!

From a betting perspective, backing goals at both ends has to be the way to go here. Bayer Leverkusen vs Wolfsburg has been one of the most consistent fixtures for this market in recent years, with both teams scoring in a massive 12 of the last 13 meetings between them (93%). Such a trend looks set to continue here too, with Leverkusen in fine scoring form at the BayArena – 9 goals in three outings – and Wolfsburg themselves scoring at least one goal in all but one of their last 6 Bundesliga outings, including two against Bayern Munich.

In terms of the full time result, the price on the hosts seems unreasonably short, so backing a few quid on the visitors double chance (win or draw) has to be worth a punt on Sunday. While Leverkusen’s have been strong enough at home, the matches in which they’ve truly “outclassed” their opponents were the more favourable ones. Wolfsburg have proven themselves a tough team to beat, losing just two of their opening seven matches (W1 D4 L2), and, that being said, they’d no doubt be very content with another point here. Our prediction: a 2-2 draw.

Werder Bremen vs Borussia Monchengladbach predictions for this weekend’s Bundesliga action. Borussia look to continue their push for the top 6 when they travel to the out-of-form Bremen on Sunday.

Werder Bremen are becoming renowned for their inability to start a season off strong; last season the North Germans lost their opening four matches, the season before that it was five defeats from their opening eight, and this time around Werder are winless in seven (D4 L3). In fairness to them though, Bremen have had arguably the toughest opening schedule of any side in the Bundesliga, with matches against Hoffenheim, Bayern Munich, Schalke, and Hertha Berlin already under their belt.

Such a trend is not too foreign for Borussia Monchengladbach either. Gladbach have redeemed themselves after an average start with a 2nd consecutive home win against Hannover 96 in their last match before the international break – a much needed result following the humiliating 6-1 defeat on the road to Borussia Dortmund the match prior. While this performance was still far from the 100% mark of what the squad is capable of, Gladbach are on the up, so coach Dieter Hecking should fancy his side’s chances against Werder Bremen on Sunday.

From a betting perspective, it’s Gladbach’s recent attacking performances that make them stand out. Gladbach have been creating and finishing sufficient enough chances to be considered the value here, ranking 5th in the league for average shots per match, while Werder Bremen are having huge difficulty in the final third, ranking 4th from bottom. Bremen’s three goals scored is the 2nd worst offensive record in the Bundesliga and with last season’s top scorer Max Kruse sidelined til mid-November, don’t expect a miraculous turnaround anytime soon.

In terms of an anytime scorer, Brazilian forward Raffael (pictured) has to be worth a punt. Both of his goals this season have been scored away from home and he’s also found the back of the net three times over his last two outings against Werder Bremen.

Gladbach have it in them to control a match at their best, but their defensive frailties are consistently on show, regardless of their opponents. With neither side being standout performers at the back, expecting goals at both ends shouldn’t be out of the question. When looking at the bigger picture though, it’s Dieter Hecking’s men that have more going for them, and it’s reasonable to see them clinching their first away win of the season against the North Germans. Our prediction: a 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach win.

FC Midtjylland:
The season is approaching a huge failure for FC Midtjylland, and only one victory over Randers FC can save the glory of the wolves. In any case, however, it can only be said as a big disappointment that Jess Thorup's profile crew ended outside the medals.

It became a fact after Sunday's 0-3 defeat to Lyngby BK in the direct duel about the bronze medals.

Although FC Midtjylland was a disappointment in the show and the season has overall been below expectations, the midtjylland has shown itself quite strong lately, and before the defeat to Lyngby, the FCM was on a streak of four wins in five matches - among Others over Brøndby and FC Copenhagen.

FC Midtjylland's big problem is that the goals are raging in. In the 10 games in the championship game, the wolves collected 24 goals, and that is obviously shocking numbers.

Jess Thorup must ignore Markus Halsti, who has quarantine. Tim Sparv is back from his long injury break.

Randers FC:
The Kronjyderes were most of the season to be part of the distinguished company in the top six in Danish football, but missed it just in the end. Now the club is close to fulfilling the dream of coming in Europe, but it has happened through a detour in the relegation game.

Randers FC has taken control of many of the things that stopped at the end of autumn and at the beginning of the spring. The defensive is good at Olafur Kristjansson's 3-4-1-2 invention, and the attackers have begun to score goals. Randers was not in major trouble against either AaB or OB.

Only worm in the cup for Olafur Kristjansson is Kasper Fisker's hand injury and misses the match against FC Midtjylland, just as he missed the return fight against OB. Also Mayron George, Lucas Haren and Brandur Hendriksson are on the injury list.

It will also suit Filip Novak to leave FC Midtjylland in the Europa League qualification, and even though he is left back, Novak is one of the players who can decide the knock-or-drop match against Randers FC.

The two clubs have played close matches against each other this season, and it will probably also be close on Thursday evening. FC Midtjylland will probably take on the ball and have the most bold possession, while Randers FC will always fool to stab the counter knife in the heart of the wolves.

It will be the small margins that will determine the match and the bid from here is a 2-0 victory to FC Midtjylland and Europa League football in Herning next season.

Torino are 10th with 39 points. In the first half of the season Torino looked like a serious team which has a real chance of reaching Europe. However, in December began their decline. Since then, they managed to get only three wins out of fifteen competitive games. All of those wins came at home - against Genoa, Pescara and Palermo, which shows in what kind of crisis Torino really are. Also, they kept only two clean sheets during that period, with bottom-placed Pescara scoring three on them. On Friday they lost on their visit to Lazio 3:1. It was a game in which Lazio completely dominated in all aspects of play, and deservedly won. After an uneventful first half, Immobile gave hosts the lead in 56th minute. In 72nd minute, without having a single chance in the game, Torino levelled up, with Lopez scoring after Iturbe`s good cross from the free kick. Lazio knew that they are a better team, and continued their quest for all three points. And it paid off for them, when Keita scored in 87th minute. Felipe Anderson added another one only three minutes later and ensured that a better team takes all. The only noticeable missing for Torino will be Obi, but he is not a regular starter anyway.


Inter are 5th with 54 points. They have been in pretty good form for the last couple of months, even though they have four wins and three losses from the last seven competitive games. After losing to Roma 3:1 at home, they were brilliant in the next two games, beating Cagliari 5:1 and Atalanta 7:1. We got our answer in 68th minute, when Banega completed his hat-trick after Gagliardini scored in 52nd, which set final result at 7:1. For this game Inter will be complete.


Inter are coming after two huge wins, and being in better form and having more quality team, they are favourites. However, despite Torino`s bad form, they have only one defeat at home this season, and have found a net in all but one home game. On the other hand, they rarely keep a clean sheet, and Inter should be able to exploit that, especially considering their recent scoring form. With Torino often being involved in a high scoring games, and Inter having trouble keeping clean sheet against attacking-minded teams, this game should bring us goals from both sides in another high-scoring clash. Both teams have found a net in nine out of the last ten Torino`s games, while seven of them also saw three or more goals. On the other hand, last three Inter`s games were a high scoring clashes, with both teams finding a net. Inter`s last two games finished 5:1 and 7:1, which tells us that even in convincing victories they couldn`t keep their net untouched. Therefore both teams to score and over 2.5 goals seems like a solid selection here.

Lechia have great results at home this season, positive news ahead of this game is their most famous and probably best player Milos Krasić signed a new long term deal. Also the club are expecting a record attendance for this game with 30k tickets already sold, for sure it will be sold out.


Lechia are 10-1-1 at home so far this season, they beat the other tittle rivals Jagiellonia and Lech already here 3-0 and 2-1. They play great offensive football and I doubt Legia can stop them from scoring a few goals here.


Legia won a few games lately but they aren't playing that good, before the break they looked much better. Prijović and Nikolić both left and they're struggling without them in attack.


I don't really get how Legia are made favourites here, for me this is a close match and Lechia are slight favourites, at these odds they are well worth a bet.

This is a game with many things already solved. Myjava given up on this season, so no other team will be relegated. I believe that this fact gives to the team the cahnce to try new players with the danger of the relegation.


Senica will do exactly that. I believe that they will use many of their young players. They are already doing that for a couple of seasons, and due to that they only have 2 wins in the last 6 games in the league. I believe that they are the clear underdogs in this game and they will for sure lose this one.


In the other side Trencin is stil trying to grab the 3rd spot, but it will be a very hard task. for that they need to win every single game they have ahead, and I believe that they will not be able to do that. But today, playing at home, they are the favourites and in my opinion they will be able to win and by 2 or more goals margin.


Important facts. In the last 6 home games Trencin don't have any lost and 3 of their 4 wins were by 2 or more goals margin; additionally, in the last 8 games between this two teams Trencin won 6 times and got 2 draws.


Based in all of this I believe that this handicap is the best option for this game.
